You may not be aware of it, but northwest Florida has a rich military history. You can experience it for free when you visit the Air Force Armament Museum at Eglin Air Force Base!

The Air Force Armament Museum is the only museum in the world that is dedicated entirely to the legacy of the United States Air Force. They work to collect, preserve, and exhibit artifacts and memorabilia associated with Air Force Armament and its platforms of delivery. 29 aircraft spanning WWII to present reside in the museum, so while you browse, you'll get to see incredible AC-130, B-17, B-25, B-52, P-51, A-10, F-15, F-16, F-100, F-101, amonst many others. Other items on display include guns, bombs, bomblets, and missiles. There is so much to see and do- you could easily fill a whole day at the museum!

You will love visiting this museum, and you will learn so much while you are there! You'll also emerge with greater respect for the work that the Air Force does to keep U.S. citizens safe and secure. Admittance to the Museum is completely free of charge, so you can feel comfortable visiting it again and again. The museum is open every day except federal holidays.
