Three Emerald Coast Distilleries to Visit This Year

January 24, 2021

Brewery and winery tours get lots of hype, and for good reason- they're unique, engaging, and super fun! They're an excellent, casual way to learn more about the science behind your favorite alcohol. When it comes to distilleries, however, I feel as though I don't hear very much about tours and tastings. I believe that they're just as interesting, and that sometimes they can be even more fun (shoutout to 80 proof liquorssss). Here are a few distilleries to check out on Florida's Emerald Coast!

Timber Creek Distillery

The Timber Creek Distillery is located just north of Destin on a family farm. They take fruits and grains local to Florida's panhandle and use them to produce high-quality spirits. They use custom-designed equipment to allow the bold flavors of their raw ingredients to shine through in each bottle of liquor that they produce. Visit them today to learn more about how they make their rum, gin, whiskey, and vodka.

Peaden Brothers Distillery

The Peaden Brothers Distillery is a family-operated micro-distillery located in Crestview, inside of a renovated 1945 Fox Theater. They complete all operations by hand in order to insure the production of top-quality liquor. They specialize in whiskey, but they make an assortment of other spirits as well.

Rollins Distillery

Rollins Distillery is a small, craft distillery in Gulf Breeze. They were the first officially-licensed distillery in the Florida panhandle, and they specialize in spirits produced using Florida molasses. Pop in and sample their rum, vodka, and more!

No matter what your drink of choice is, the Emerald Coast has a distillery for you to explore! What are you waiting for?
