A week ago, the Destin city council voted unanimously to approve the [purchase of a $9 million waterfront property](https://weartv.com/news/local/destin-city-council-approves-9-million-purchase-of-waterfront-property-for-public-use).  Mayor Bobby Wagner confirmed that the new property will be designated for public use, but the exact purpose of the property has not been decided. The city is looking for community input to guide their planning. We are all unanimous in our front with this. And I think this is, again, just another tremendous generational win for the community of Destin. Not just for the view corridor, but what could it be? Where is it going? And another attachment to the HarborWalk community."
