August 22, 2023

The first day of fall is September 23. While the Emerald Coast's beaches are amazing to visit year-round, the best time to enjoy the pristine shoreline is summer. Nothing feels as good as a dip in the emerald blue water on a hot, sunny day! Here are a few of the Emerald Coast beaches that you should be sure to cross off your list before the end of the season!

Santa Rosa Beach

Santa Rosa Beach is one of 16 beach neighborhoods in South Walton. You'll love the delicate white sand and clear emerald waters here! Come by for a day of sunbathing, water sports, and/or sand dunes exploration.

Wayside Park (Fort Walton Beach)

Wayside Park is on Okaloosa Island adjacent to the fishing pier. It features an awesome strip of beach, plus dunes, a playground, volleyball nets, and other amenities that make it ideal for vacationing families.

Henderson Beach State Park is one of our favorite stretches of shoreline. This protected strip of the Emerald Coast is an incredible place to visit, whether you're looking to relax or enjoy an active afternoon. Henderson Beach is a fantastic place to fish, and it has terrific hiking trails. Want to camp on the beach? They have 60 different campsites that you can reserve!

Destin Harbor Boardwalk

Be sure to stroll along Destin Harbor Boardwalk before the end of the summer. With its harbor views, entertainment options, and yummy restaurants, this is one of the best waterside attractions in the area.
