Wine lovers on the Emerald Coast yearn for April all year round. That's because April indicates the return of the Sandestin Wine Festival! If you love food, wine, and/or fun on the beach, then you'll want to schedule a visit to the Emerald Coast this April!
Now approaching its 34th iteration, this wine festival is well-established and beloved on the coast. The 2021 wine festival will take place April 15th through 18th at The Villages of Baytowne Wharf. Typically attended by thousands of wine enthusiasts, this year promises to be busy but COVID-19 friendly.
The Grand Sandestin Lawn will be home to the Bubbly & Boozy tent, which will offer luxury liquors and desserts, served up alongside of beautiful, local music. Savor South Walton tents will also be present throughout the festival grounds so that festival goers can get their fill of regional seafood and appetizers.
This fantastic festival will be peppered with events such as tastings, seminars, and dinners. There will be a kick off party, a champagne and seafood lunch cruise, yoga on the beach, and a bubbly brunch, along with other events. The main event is the Grand Wine Tastings, which will showcase approximately 500 national and international wines across a two day period. Participants in this event will enjoy the chance to meet winemakers, sample incredible wines, and savor gourmet food.
The cherry on top of the festival is that the proceeds will benefit the Fischer House, which provides free or low-cost housing to veterans or military members receiving treatment at military medical centers, as well as the Sandestin Foundation for Kids.
